New York Harbor

Le New York Harbor, littéralement Port de New York est un terme géographique regroupant l'ensemble des rivières, baies, et estuaires maritimes situés à proximité de l'embouchure de l'Hudson River, et donc au voisinage de New York. Il est aussi parfois appelé Ports of New York and New Jersey (ports de New York et du New Jersey) étant donné que la zone marque la frontière entre les États voisins de New York et du New Jersey. Le port regroupe ainsi au sens large les différentes villes côtières situées à l'embouchure de l'Hudson, comme Jersey City (New Jersey), Hoboken ou encore Bayonne. En outre, le port comprend les littoraux de Manhattan, de Brooklyn et de Staten Island qui constituent trois des cinq borough de la ville. L'ensemble des infrastructures liées au transport, parmi lesquelles les ponts, les tunnels, et les ports est géré par la Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Le Staten Island Ferry est ainsi géré par cet organisme.
